How to Make an Appointment

Patient Eligibility

Currently enrolled UNL students are eligible to use the University Health Center.

Students taking 7 or more credits (Academic Year) who have paid the current University Program and Facility Fees (UPFF) will receive services at the subsidized rate. Primary care provider visits are at no charge to students.

UNL Faculty & Staff Services

UNL faculty and staff members are offered a number of health care services.

Community Services

Vaccines for disease prevention and international travel are available for students, faculty, staff and the community.

Note: For visits to the Medical Clinic, please allow at least 1 hour, which includes arriving 15 minutes early.

Triage Nurse Visits

UHC providers are seen by appointment only. However, a triage nurse is available on a first come, first served basis for acute problems that require immediate attention.

Appointment Cancellations

Please arrive at your scheduled check in time. If you are late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule to a later date.

Call 472-5000 to cancel or reschedule your clinic and nurse appointments to avoid a failed visit charge. The cancellation must be at least 2 hours prior to your appointment time. Specialty Clinic visits require a 24 hour notice of cancellation to avoid a failed visit charge.

Check In for Your Appointment

Please bring your NCard and insurance card to each visit.

Arrive at your check-in time and bring a completed medical history form.

Specialist Appointments

Your provider may refer you to a specialist when your condition requires further treatment. For your convenience, UHC contracts with community specialists who see patients at UHC.
