Wellness is a holistic way of life which focuses on finding the right balance for each individual.
Health Education promotes seven interrelated dimensions of wellness to encourage students to take responsibility for their own health and be the best person they can be.
- The Seven Dimension of Wellness:
- Emotional — the ability to understand and deal with your feelings
- Environmental — the livability of your surroundings
- Intellectual — constantly challenging your mind
- Occupational — personal fulfillment from chosen career and maintaining a positive work-life balance
- Physical — maintaining a healthy quality of life and your ability to take care of yourself
- Social — the ability to develop and maintain satisfying and supportive relationships
- Spiritual — the use of a guiding beliefs, principles, or values that give meaning and purpose to your life

Wellness Advocates (WA) support the mission of the Health Education (HE) of the University Health Center. Wellness Advocates are students employed by Health Education (HE) of the University Health Center to help assist fellow students with their diverse health and wellness needs by providing consultation, information, and materials in Residence Halls and Greek Houses.

Healthy Huskers (HH) support the mission of the Health Education (HE) of the University Health Center. The HHs strive to make a difference in the lives of other students by educating them on many important wellness topics, health, and social issues in order to increase awareness, encourage safer behaviors, make informed choices, and enhance the health and well-being of their peers.
