CAPS Pricing, Billing & Insurance

Pricing Starting July 1, 2016

  1. Every student's first four counseling sessions are at no charge; these sessions are covered by student fees.
  2. After a student has used their four covered sessions, they have the option to use their personal health insurance. The University Health Center participates with most insurance companies. We will file claims with any insurance company.
  3. If a student chooses to not use insurance, the rate for sessions 5 through 12 is $30 per session. For example, if a student only wants/needs to be seen for sessions 5 and 6, they would be charged $60.
  4. All sessions after a student's 12th session are billed to the student's insurance company.
  5. There is no limit to the number of sessions that clients can be seen in CAPS.
