Starting college is a big transition, and taking charge of your health is a key part of it.
At the University Health Center, care is provided by Nebraska Medicine, one of the region’s most respected health networks. From treating common illnesses to providing dental care, our team is dedicated to supporting your well-being. Here’s a quick run-down of what we have to offer:
What services do we offer?
- Medical clinic: Allergy care, immunizations, lab services, nutrition counseling, primary care, psychiatric medication management, travel consultations, x-rays and more.
- Physical therapy: Treatment and rehab for muscles, bones and joints to help you return to an active life.
- Dental clinic: Routine exams, cleanings, fillings and other dental services.
- Pharmacy: Fills prescriptions from any provider in the United States and carries affordable over-the-counter items.
Where are we located?
The University Health Center is conveniently located on UNL’s City Campus at 550 N. 19th Street – just south of the Beadle Center and across the street from University Suites.
How do you pay?
Some services are covered by student fees, meaning no additional cost for you. Other services, like x-rays, lab tests, prescriptions, and specialty visits, will incur a charge and can be paid out-of-pocket or through insurance.
Insurance isn’t required to be seen at the University Health Center. If you have insurance, be sure to bring your card (or a copy/picture of the front and back sides of the card) with you to every appointment.
